Kaufman
Family
Alex has been with Assured since 2012. He holds a Masters degree in Old Testament, and at one point he thought his career path would take him into academics and biblical higher education. While he was still working on his undergrad studies he met and married his now wife of 14 years, Amber. They have 10 adopted children, and 2 bio kids. Amber has founded and runs a non-profit arts organization which teaches free ballet lessons, among other endeavors.
Outside of Assured, Alex is always learning in his various other areas of interest, including fishing, bushcraft, permaculture, and the outdoors. He is passionate about foster care and adoption, and they continue to pursue their passion through advocacy and educating other prospective adoptive parents. Don’t let the long hair fool you; Alex is a pretty straight laced guy who prides himself on professionalism and is always looking to help others along the way.
koch family
Ben lives in Lebanon, Oh with his wife Bethany, and four kids. He has been doing hands-on construction/remodel work for 20+ years. Ben loves custom carpentry and finding creative solutions for “annoying problems”.
The Koch’s love to travel and experience new things. They also place a high value on family. They recently purchased Ben’s grandparents’ home in Lebanon, Oh where his grandparents lived for almost 60 years. They are in the process of restoring this 1909 house to its former glory, but as the saying goes, “the shoemaker’s kids have no shoes,” so don’t look too closely at the house, it’s in process. They also plan to one day pursue foster care and adoption. In his free time, Ben also enjoys flying small aircraft.
Emge family
Ryan started Assured Construction in 2007 and eventually brought in Alex and Ben as partners. Ryan and his family live in Harrison, OH where they have been restoring and a beautiful house built in the late 1800s. You most likely won’t see Ryan on your project, as he works in the background and runs his logistics company as his primary focus.
Eggers family
Dave has been with Assured for almost 2 years, which seems like it has been so much longer. If you know Dave, you love him. He takes the utmost pride and care in all his work, treating even the most smallest of tasks with the utmost care and level of detail. Dave can handle just about anything and will always leave a project, space and even tools, cleaner and more organized than he found them.
Dave and Kristen live in Lebanon, Oh with their 4 kids and are very involved in multiple community organizations and town happenings.
McAfee Family
Malcolm loves anything construction related and is always seeking to learn, grow and build his skillset. Malcolm and Chelsie live in northern Kentucky, with their two kids.
ps. Chelsie does freelance design and artsy fartsy stuff, so if you are ever in need of those services, don’t hesitate to hit them up, they would love to help.
dew family
Michael grew up working with his dad on remodels and various projects and has always had an eye for detail. He loves to perform every project with excellence and care. He loves tile work and anything detail oriented. Michael and his wife Emily live in Waynesville, Oh with their 4 kids.
You may not see Michael onsite much (as he has his own company he is building for his family), but when he is onsite, make no mistake, you will be cared for above and beyond, and probably won’t get too much done, since he will talk your ear off. He loves the relational aspect of what we do.
Liske family
Otto is one heck of a guy. He has been doing remodeling work for as long as remodeling work has been a thing, or at least it seems that way. You may not see Otto as much as you’d like, as he is nearing the time when he will be making a pivot and focusing on less taxing projects (some people call it retirement, but not Otto), he is a force to be reckoned with and cannot sit still, so his version of retirement is just doing something different.
Otto and Jody live near Beechmont, Oh and have 4 adult children and 20 grandchildren. They are such a blessing to our team and to our customers. As you can see, Otto loves his fireplace, and if you’re not careful, he may take home your scrap wood to burn as he keeps that fire burning 24/7.
